Now I hadn’t thought of that! We have considered plantation shutters for the downstairs study but that might look really smart to have them in the sitting room as well.

If you close the curtains you will lose warmth as the radiator is there! I think plantation shutters would look lovely and I personally wouldn't bitgerbon the French doors.
You can treat yourself to a new rug and cushions to lift the room. How about a nice deep plum/purple?

I love plantation shutters. Go with the shutters. Trying to chat DH into getting them for our lounge.

I love Orla Kelly but would I spend the money on them no as said it’s a in the moment
I’d pick a colour from them as curtains then buy a couple of cushion covers add in other cushions in the other colours and even just stick to the curtain colour for other cushions and lampshades etc
In saying that we’ve huge windows in every room except one bathroom curtains are a nightmare believe me

If I keep them for long enough they might be very retro🤣🤣.
Yes, I’m now leaning toward a textured plain single colour and accessories to lift the room. Possibly plantation shutters although some of the windows already have these blinds in the windows.

I just feel the window needs some softness around it but I’m not sure if I think that because I can see curtains rails and I’m used to curtains.
