Dibbers visiting Rotonda over Halloween

Just some info in case any of you are down in the Rotonda / Englewood area over Halloween. There are two options to join in with local celebrations.
Residents on Mark Twain Lane really go to town on decorating their houses but also do trick or treat for children. it is a huge event locally. One resident prepared 300 bags last year and ran out!

The other event is the Halloween Walk on Dearborn St Englewood. Children, teens, adults even dogs dress up and parade up & down the street ( 3/4 mile) The sides are lined with stalls from different businesses & organisations dishing out candy & water to all. There are bands playing and music from a djbox. We saw the Adams Family band one year with cousin it on sax - it was awesome.
Both events are free and great fun for your children to join in.
You can buy costumes in Walmart, Target etc. Bear in mind the American kids don't usually dress up as witches/ scary things. You will see fairies, princesses, soldiers, pirates etc.
