I got my Ring Doorbell free from BT but have never set it up as DH said 'waste of time' but I'll get the box out and see if I can do it myself.

We have a 3 bedroom bungalow and alexa devises in every room (not the bathrooms) so there’s absolutely no way he couldn’t hear it...

Just watch what settings you have it on. Last night someone was going round my street trying to get into cars and that was the time my ring decided to go into sleep mode and not record for an hour. I phoned them up about it as the only time I needed it to pick up motion it didn’t. He said make sure it’s on frequent setting for motion activity
