Ford Explorer - Budget

Just spotted a deal on the BA website Ford Explorer Sept 25th MIA 21 day rental £810 seems quite a good deal because SUV's are stupid prices elsewhere at the moment.

Never had experience of Budget though, are they any good..?

This seemingly "glitch" price for the Explorer size has been there with BA car hire for weeks. Frankly I'd be amazed if anyone is booking anything other that this car class. May make things interesting at pick up when they have none let and have to start dishing out free upgrades.

Booked this months ago for Tampa. Explorer or larger will do nicely.

I have probably booked budget on around 10 of our 13 car hires. (We often have two hires within 1 vacation).

They are part of Avis and therefore I have confidence in them. The reason that I continue to use them is because..
1. They have generally given me the best price.
2. They have never once let me down in any way.

The range of cars to choose from can be a little limited, or at hotels non existent, but all I want is a nice, clean, low mileage vehicle of at least the level that I have booked. I am no more picky about cars, than I am shopping trolleys. It is a tool to do a job.

Sorry to jump on the thread. We’ve also booked this category with BA. With Budget, do you choose your car, or is it assigned (like Avis)?

Chevy Traverse and Dodge Journey the other likely ones in the category.

Bit confused by this as BA states it’s a 5 seater.
