Excellent idea to contact PALS at your hospital. I did just that when I had two appointments cancelled, they came straight back to me saying they had been in touch with the relevant team who would be in touch. The 'relevant team' contacted me 2 days later with an appointment later that week. Put PALS in your hospitals search box. Sometimes you really have to push an issue when it's such a dire case as your poor boys.

A little update.
I emailed the Gastroenterology department (after chasing my tail trying to get an email address) including the stool movement diary and a selection of lip photos this morning. A team member rang me to say that he is having a flare at the moment so does need to be seen asap and the consultant will ring me before or on Monday. Due to the severity of the flare she advised that he should stay off school because his immune system is compromised. This is until he starts his treatment and shows improvement. She said the consultant will advise in more detail when he calls. I really don’t want him to miss any more school but his health comes first. Luckily there is only a couple of weeks left at school. The consultant may possibly say he can still go to school 🤷 But until I speak to him I will keep him off then do as he advises. X |
