Christmas Crackers

Morning all

There are 11 of us for Christmas Lunch this year 7 adults 4 kids.

Been trying to find crackers to suit everyone, but only coming across ones in 6 or 8 in a pack.

Anyone seen any good ones in packs of 12?

Thanks in advance

Jane 😊

I struggle with crackers every year as want ones where the inside will actually be of use. I have made my own previously if this is any good.

One year I bought a pack of 12 "make your own crackers" from The Works. You could decorate the cardboard tube, insert their "bang" and a hat/joke, then assemble them yourself. I had great fun with these, and popped a Fuffleteenies into each one, tailoring them to either alcoholic or non, depending on the family members' age and preference, and then wrote their name elaborately on the outside of the cracker. Fun to do if you have the time!

I have done similar the last couple of years. I put a national lottery scratch card in mine

I bought fabric ones from not on the high street so will have this problem every year - but won't have the plastic tat! I think this year will be a lindt dor and a hot choc or coffee sachet, but looking for other ideas too!

I did my own for the first time last year - fun to do and much less waste. Scratchcards for adults plus chocs. For kids a lego minifigure and choc.

Maybe get a nicer box of 8 for the adults and buy or make different ones in similar colours for the children.

I have also bought separate adult and children crackers, and kept the spares for next year. (Which obviously I forgot about).
I think the most successful crackers for all ages (and the in-laws were still alive then so top age if 90 plus) were the ones containing racing reindeer ones.

The racing reindeer ones sound fab! Will have a look see if I can find some👍

I was thinking of making my own, but I really don’t have time. Off on a cruise in 6 weeks, every weekend from now until then we are booked up. Get home 15th December so not a lot of time after we get home.
