Turkey crown joints

Looking for a small turkey crown joint for about 3-4 people - any ideas of where’s best to get one please?

A local butcher is always the best place to get meat

Unfortunately our lovely butcher sadly retired this year, we always had fantastic food from him - haven’t found anyone else 🙁

Bought mine today at M&S £30 for 4 people size. Only two of us but we love Turkey sandwiches & other things with the left overs 😊

We always get ours from Tesco. Put it in Brine (using Nigella's recipe) overnight on Christmas Eve, dry it well and then cook. It is so tender and juicy, not a dry bit in sight.

I don’t celebrate Christmas but I love turkey so always make the most of what the supermarkets have on offer at this time of year.

We had a tesco turkey crown earlier this week - £18 for one that served 8-10, it was very nice (I didn’t follow the cooking instructions on the packet as it said 2 hours 48 minutes for cooking but actually really only needed 2 hours so just watch out for that!)

I’ve got another one from Aldi in the freezer - I’ve got various ones from Aldi over the past few years & they’ve always been really tasty.

We have a fantastic local award winning butcher who can arrange delivery throughout the UK

Hanks Meat & Game

https://meatandgame.com

Their meat is always excellent so maybe worth a try if you’d prefer to use a butcher rather than a supermarket.

Best if you’re not keen on the supermarkets or smelly rubbish wrapped in strange plastics and falling to the floor. Hanks Meat & Game could be your kind of thing. If you’re missing your butcher, they offer delivery and are known for quality meat so it may be worth a check out.
