It's a nice hotel and is connected to T5 and the Underground/Heathrow Express/Elizabeth Line by a short walkway.

To go to T3 you can use any of the above the Underground/EL you swipe in/out with a contactless card and for the HE you get a transfer ticket - both methods are free. It's one stop and another short walk at the other end to T3.

I love the Sofitel but think the main thing I love about it is it's convenient location when flying out of T5.

If you're happy travelling between terminals then you'll likely find the Garden Inn at T4 the cheapest of all and that's a 5 min walk to Hatton Cross station and then one stop on the free tube to T2/3.

Went to T4 Holiday inn Express last year, it was a bit of a faff changing trains and stuff but was ok overall. I was just thinking about the faff of going all the way to T4 at night when I get there

We stayed in the Aerotel last September, they are small rooms with no windows but we arrived late evening and left at 6am so worked for us. I would use it again for the convenience of walking across to the Virgin check in.

The proper title of the Hilton Garden Inn at Hatton Cross is

Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Airport

and as abzorba said it is only 5 minutes walk from Hatton Cross Underground. It isn't attached to T4 though.

There isn't a Garden Inn at T4. There is a Hilton Garden Inn at Hatton Cross but not to be confused with the one at T2/3

We've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn ( by Hatton Cross ) a couple of times - nice rooms and good breakfast and usually much cheaper than the one in the terminal (2 /3)and as said only 5 minutes walk to the Hatton Cross tube which is still free to the airport...

Anyone that's used buses from T5 to Bath road, how much of a faff is it? Long waits etc. On a solo trip and just debating whether it's worth it or just go to T4 and tube back to T3 or Bath Road and get a taxi / Uber to Virgin Upper wing.

We almost always stay at the Sofitel as it's so convenient and familiar. But trying the Renaissance soon.

I stay at Hilton Garden Inn. So convenient with a short walk in the morning. If you stay here you must go to lounge bar on top floor, fab views of airport 😁.
