On rereading it i think it’s talking about travelling when FCO advice is not to go. My friend got it in writing from them that she will be covered even if she goes with FCO warnings in place which I thought was crazy

No FCO advice in place at date of booking and travel date. We've got Nationwide current account insurance so we are waiting until lifted to book hols.

I rang them they said we wouldn't be covered for any cancellation related to covid, if the FCO guidance is lifted we would be covered for any illness whilst away and cancellation if not related to covid. So if I broke my arm the day before and couldn't travel then we would be covered.

Their answer to me and as that if the FCO guidance was in place at the time of booking then we wouldn't be covered for anything covid related even if it was not on the FCO do not travel list at the time of travel.
Frustrating as we had to shift ours or lose it - and therefore we shifted it and they have advised it counts as a new booking and therefore we aren't covered. Sigh. |

Sorry to jump on the thread but we are very keen to book with BA for next year. The trip is 5 nights in New York and 10 nights in Orlando for July 20th 2021.
Can someone please point me in the direction of an insurance policy that will cover us if we book now whilst the travel ban is in place? |
