Phone call from Disney

So I just called them as realised I won’t have time tomorrow. Spoke to a lovely cast member called Tiana who left me the voicemail this afternoon.

She basically said that they were trying to touch base with customers who have bookings at the start of the year to see what they wanted to do with their bookings. I asked if there was a reason for this, and she said at the start of the pandemic the WD travel company felt that they were always behind the curve when it came to getting bookings changed and were inundated when people needed to change or rebook their holiday and they were being proactive in trying to prevent this from happening again. Said that they have been informed that there is a sneaky suspicion that the travel ban will be in place still and there is so much riding on holidays at the start of the year, with the travel ban, vaccines and a new president, they’re just trying to stay on top of things. She said they were just dealing with trips in Jan/Feb for the time being.

I moved our booking free of charge to Dec 2021, and when it comes to the date the balance is due 2022 should be on sale and I can then it again to the dates we are travelling then. She was very helpful and said that I shouldn’t be charged to move it again but at this stage who knows.

When you say free of charge
Do you mean no change fee or they kept the price the same for you even though December prob costs more?

No change fee. Price went up about £100. I’m going to move it when 2022 dates are released.
