Place you picked the car up from:- Ford, Greenway & MCO
Catergory of car hired:- Mid Size
Make of car you got:- Chevrolet HHR, Toyota Corolla & Sebring Convertible
Hire car company used:- Hertz - via eBookers

We hired via the eBookers for a great price. We picked up off site, getting a taxi from MCO to the location. An experience that was!

Our first car, the HHR was pretty bad. It had writing on the windscreen about being a return to airport rental! It was filthy. We took it back on the 2nd day to exchange it for the Corolla. That was cleaner, but it didn't last as the service light kept going off, after a call to Hertz again we were off to MCO to exchange the car again. The standard of car that we were given was not acceptable. This time we got a nice guy who gave us the Sebring Convertible. Car was a 2010 model but was already showing signs of wear and tear!
Anyway...the car was no good if you had a load of cases. We only had 2 and had to put one on the back seat of the car when going to DTD checkin. It took $38 to fill. Shame it was too hot to drive round with the top down!

Place you picked the car up from:- MCO
Catergory of car hired:- 7 Seater minivan
Make of car you got:- Dodge Grand Caravan
Hire car company used:-Dollar

We booked direct with Dollar and used the Dollar Express card which was great to miss out the queues at the hire desks. Electric sliding doors, individual climate control for Driver, front passenger and rear . Readout of trip or full fuel consumption.

Back seats down with Wheelchair in and 4 cases laid down plus hand luggage

As above taken on phone camera (sorry a little shaky)

Last row of seats down with wheelchair

Last row of seats down without chair

All seats up , still plenty of room for luggage or in our case a wheelchair

We found we needed an elasticated luggage strap to stop Josh's chair rattling about in the back as there was that much room even with all of the seats up.

Picked up from - MCO 11th June 2010
Car hire company used - Hertz (Expedia Glitch)
Car Type - Full Size 7 Seat SUV
Actual car - GMC Yukon 8 Seat SUV

This had all the bells and whistles. Full Leather interior. Remote Opening boot. Remote Start. Huge V8 Engine (Downside was at some points i was managing 3 MPG ). Last row of seats were removable which was great for transporting the luggage around when needed and they also folded so you could transport the luggage to and from the airport.

Picked car up from MCO 14 June
Categoryof car Mid size SUV
Make of car Ford Edge
Hire Company Virgin/Alamo

What a beauty to drive. It was just the two of us but we will definately be hiring SUVs from now on. So comfortable and loads of space. I did not think i could drive it, it was so huge when i sat in it at the airport but it took me a few minutes to get used to it. By the end of two weeks i was whizzing about comfortably in it as though i was driving a mini. Was also brand new when picked it up less than 20 miles on the clock.

We got our car in the Expedia-Hertz glitch.
Hertz were very good, easy to find desk and car, although a little walk from the desk.
Car was a Chevy Tahoe, 7 seater SUV, paid £265 for 18 days. It had 300 miles on when we picked it up and over 1800 when we left it. It was doing about 16 to the gallon and we paid to bring back empty, about £60 I think.
Brilliant car with sat nav, leather seats, etc. Although it was only for the four of us, we had to take the back row of seats down to get luggage in.
We all wnated to bring it home at the end of the holiday.

Hi, we just got back from Florida last week. We flew with Virgin into MCO, got car hire through Virgin's Alamo desk. We upgraded to a 7 seater when we arrived which cost $600.

We were given a white Chevrolet Suburban with a full tank and told to take it back empty. We drove for 2 weeks, even did 2 trips to The Kennedy Space Centre (45 mins each way, twice) on a tank and a half, it was doing about 21 mpg.

We loved the car and were sad to give it back. It was like driving a big wobbly bus but we felt safe around all the other huge trucks and we found it really easy to park. I was worried when we first got it that it was a "look at me posing!" car but it fitted in perfectly and it didn't scream "brits on tour" lol!

All in all a great car, it swallowed 3 large cases, 2 small cases, 1 large holdall, 4 x handluggages, a pushchair and a Harry Potter broomstick ;o) no problem at all. The only downside was no dvd players but I never even realised that til we got home! The kids enjoyed looking out of the window at all the new sights anyway :o)

Pics are on my profile by the way as I have no idea how to get them on this page lol! Also some pics of our wedding at Paradise Cove on there...

This was our car this time, a big 4x4 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
It was fab, 2 adults, 2 kids (14 &13) and four adult cases in the boot, no probs. Hired via Alamo.
This car comes under "Mid Sized SUV", as I said hired with Alamo and picked up at Sanford Airport.
Fuel was about $40 a week, give or take. With that we did one trip to Clearwater, Busch Gardens and Datona. We did get ripped off for fuel at Datona, so be careful!

Picked the car up from MCO
We paid for an intermidiate
We got a Chevrolete Impala (with free upgrade)
We hired through Budget

We pre registered through budget so went straight to the garage and picked up the car with no hard sell. The car had 3,000 miles on the clock and was really clean and tidy. We had no complaints with budget. Would use them again

Edited to add that the boot was that full for the homeward journey. We only took 2 cases going LOL
