VB - Tap on to 'Ride Now' rides?
Hi,
Apologies for what I imagine is a daft question: I'm good at coming up with bizarre 'what-if' scenarios. I'm off to Volcano Bay in a couple of weeks for the first time. I've been reading about the Tapu system. I understand that you can only be in one virtual queue at a time - that's fine. My question is around 'Ride Now' rides. If I am already in a virtual queue, and I see a 'Ride Now' ride, do I just walk on (no tap)? Or, do I have to tap on the 'Ride Now' screen (to 'prove' it was Ride Now when i entered the physical line), in which case because it is Ride Now my other virtual queue is safe? Apologies for the silly question, but I couldn't find a consistent answer when I looked on line. Any help greatly appreciated! |

Ha ha - the simplest answer is usually the correct one. No tap needed.

The only rides we tapped into were ones where we were in the virtual queue for, not for Ride Now ones

We go to VB a lot when we are in Orlando. 80% of the time they ask you to tap for ride now rides (it doesn’t affect rides you’re in a queue for as far as I know, but to be honest we use extra morning hours usually and don’t particularly need the virtual queue system so I can’t be 100%). I think it depends on the worker at that ride at the time, but I do think they’re supposed to get you to do it to monitor queues.

Thanks to all who replied
It looks like it can vary day to day, but in general, you do tap on to 'Ride Now' rides. Cheers all! |
