Mobile Service your way.

Have just downloaded the app we are booked to visit in October. I see it says you can be part of the service your way programme. IE cancel your room service and receive money back on a card for doing so, while this sounds fine to me on a daily basis making the bed etc. We are there for 16 days and will want clean towels and sheets in this time. Do you forfeit clean bedding and towels if you agree to this? Or can you request clean when required.

You can request whatever you need from mousekeeping when you see them, and also I’m sure you can pay for a clean at $10 per day although we didn’t do that (we were only there for 7 days so managed it all ourselves, but I think I’d have one if we were there for longer).

I don’t think I’d fancy going without the floor being hoovered and the bathroom not being cleaned for 16 days but you can request towels and bedding.

As far as I know you can request a "in between cleaning" for $10.

Depends on the resort - this isn’t offered everywhere.

We did it last year at CSR. I’d read before we left that CSR didn’t allow the in between cleaning but I wish I’d at least asked as I think that would have made it more tolerable. Getting stuff was easy enough. We would call housekeeping just before we left the room if we needed anything and it was there when we got back.
The big downside for me was not having the room cleaned for 2 weeks. We bought detergent wipes and a dust pan and brush but it wasn’t really enough and I don’t think we’d do it again unless we were staying at a resort that allowed the $10 room clean.

I gave up housekeeping for a four night stay at CBR last year, it was just me so I didn't need extra supplies. I wouldn't do it for a 16 night stay, that just sounds uncomfortable.

We stayed at POR in Aug. We were there for 21 nights and opted out. We got $200. It was all or nothing. We requested clean towels and toilitries whenever we needed them. They also left us more coffees. They let us help ourself to clean bedding off their trolley when we needed it. I took some antibac wipes with me and bought a dustpan and brush from Walmart. Would do it again.

From what I’ve read in the FB page you can’t opt in for one clean at CSR. However I do realise that not every CM will give the same answer to the same question.
I wouldn’t rely on having it available- if anyone wants it and they offer it - great. But be aware you might not get it.

Yes that’s what I’d heard which is why I didn’t even bother asking. It’s a pity as I think we’d probably do it again if we knew we could get a clean half way.
