Help with fine

So we returned on the 22nd and I had an email to say I had a citation. After emails to Alamo they told me it was for going through a red light which my husband did do as he did get blinded by the sun. However it’s been 3 weeks now and despite emailing Alamo I still haven’t received the fine. Does anybody have an experience of this? I want to just pay it as I’m worried sick that I won’t be able to return incase my ESTA is denied. Please help.

Hi. Worry not! Nobody will get denied an ESTA for a motoring infraction.

Has your credit card been billed yet? That's the normal way the car rental company resolve the issue and bill you.

Thanks Mr Tom Morrow. I knew you would know! Nothing has been charged to my card. I had been originally notified that Alamo would charge my card $20 as a fee for passing my information onto the relevant authority. After emailing them they said they would waive the fee but I still haven’t had anything ordering a payment for a fine and very confused!

A few of these infractions get struck. With a fair wind you may only get charged the $20.
