Mobile Children Car seats

Hi all

Apologies if this has already been asked. So when I go next year, I have booked good insurance which includes free child seats. So my question is, if I use Alamo skip the counter, how does it work? I will need one booster and one child seat. TIA

Hi. As you enter the garage you will spot the Alamo hut and the staff there will direct you to your row to pick your car and also point out the seats. They are stacked behind the hut wrapped in plastic. On the wall of the hut is a sign showing pictures and giving details of the three types they do.
However they will rarely help you fit them as if they do they become responsible for any issue.

When you return the car just make sure they haven't charged for the seats as that's an easy mistake for them to make. Just have your rental agreement handy to point out you have them free as part of a package.

Thanks Mr Tom. I’m aware they don’t fit them. We will just have to do this. Also it says with the gold insurance that GPS is included. Now I’m wondering if this is inbuilt into the car or one you just attach into the car?

It will be the normal windscreen attached type. It will be in a bag and given to you at the exit barrier. You may find your chosen car has it anyhow but don't refuse it as they will expect it back at the end of the hire.

Off now, time to ride Slinky Dog!

The car seats are easy to fit just remember to use the top teacher as well as the two bottom ones and don't be tempted to use the seat belt as well most will have both options the seats we have for the Gdks do

I’m assuming tether is like a bolt? Sorry for sounding so thick!

Having 3 kids, and had various car seats over the years, I presumed it would be easy to figure out top tether. I didn’t have a clue! Luckily one of the Alamo ladies helped out (although they technically shouldn’t). Please YouTube it for installation. I will be doing it this year as I can’t remember.
All the seats are together near the desk, individually wrapped in plastic bags, and you choose which you want.

Best way I can describe it it's like a clip on a dog lead that you attach to the back of the back of the car seat at the anchor point I'll post pics next week of the seat and how it fits if you want but you tube has some great videos
