We often rent to couples as they love both the space and privacy.

We often stay either with the family or just the two of us - and always a Dibb villa. We love the space, the privacy, and knowing where we are going. We do a split stay sometimes as well, with 5 nights at WDW or 1 night at one of the universal hotels (or the Grand Plaza if we fancy a change. I couldn't stay 14 nights in 1 room though - but each to their own.

We usually go to an apartment type place like Grand Villas, usually 2 bedroom, as we don't need a pool. These have a kitchen, washing machine etc, plenty of room for 2.

We have stayed on Sandy Ridge in a 5 bed a few times with the kids, and for the last couple of years , just me and him 😀

It’s brilliant, all that space, no maid tapping at your door, no reason to get out of your Jim jams if it’s a bad day 😬

A condo will be cheaper, but the convenience of being able step in/out of your patio door when you need or want anything is worth the extra cost. We no longer spend all day every day at the parks and much prefer the convenience and space a villa provides. Allocation on arrival will be cheaper then selecting a specific villa, but other than the number of bedrooms and sometimes a general area, you can’t guarantee specific features. The choice available can be overwhelming, so try to come up with some features which are important to you to help narrow down your search.

Me and my son who was 12 I think at the time stayed in Aylesbury villa a couple of year ago. We loved the space and the relaxation that the villa offered. Definitely not too big for 2. The only reason we’ve not stayed in a villa since is because we’ve been onsite. We’re back in a villa next month and next August too.
