West Coast places of interest

So if you were travelling from San Fran to San Diego what places would be a must stop?

Not too fussed about central LA itself as we did it a few yrs ago and i don't think we're bothered about doing the parks.

We stayed 1 night in Monterey (at the Monterey Bay inn - beautiful hotel) and thought the area around monterey/carmel was lovely and would love to return... some day!

Hearst Castle sounds like a must see attraction along with the Pacific Coast Highway of course.

You will be gobsmacked at the opulence of this place. It is so big there are 3 separate tours. Hearst was the Rupert Murdoch of his day.
