Fires

Anyone out there at he moment?

We are off on Sunday and wondered if we should be worried and whether it will affect our plans.

Awful to see and thinking of those who have lost their homes.

me too (we travel out in 2 days ) though we wont be in yosemite and san fran for a few weeks
dd texted me yesterday to say fires were on bbc news
had a look and they are north of san fran , a little worried but will keep a watch out
last trip we avoided the fires by just a few days

These fires are some 150 miles north of San Francisco so unless you are driving down the 101 from the state border with Oregon down to Garberville you shouldn't be affected. The "Rocky" fire is to the north of Sacramento.
All I would say is that on our recent trip in early July most countryside is tinder dry and there are high risk warnings everywhere so be vigilant on your travels.
