Sorry to jump on this thread but what makes the south end of the strip better? I know very little about Vegas so am interested in others views.

Thanks

It doesn't... just personal preference ..As many wouldn't stay there as would, many like the middle best..

I've stopped south and in the middle .

The middle section of the actual strip is the busiest by a long way as you have the fountains there, miracle mile, Caesars Palace etc..

The south isn't as busy for actual foot fall traffic, but you have the MGM, NYNY, Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Tropicana etc all close together and places like M&M'S World, Hersheys World, Adidas, Dennys, and most of those hotels have food courts etc.

For me I wouldn't stop further south than Tropicana or further north than the Wynn, anywhere in between is fine.

No matter where you stop though you will do a lot of walking.

I think we're in Anaheim the 21st March :-)

I can't see too much changing between now and then I think the hotel they've bought is still open for another month or so.

I do hope there are less closures next year though. Last year we didn't go because there were 13 between the two parks, but I promised the kids we'd go this year and we did but there were 16 closures between the two parks.. almost 1/3 which is a lot imo.

I know the area behind the hotel has been flattened and is ready to start, as I am there in a few weeks time , will see if I can find out anything, but the weekly videos by fresh baked disney, have now started updating on the building work, and if you like watching trucks move dirt, they update star wars land each week with what is new appearing in the building site
