Can't help on viewing point, but does the schedule change ? We were there ten days ago and fireworks were every night (although cancelled one night out of three as the wind was in the wrong direction). We stayed one block away and the hotel had a rooftop pool so we watched from there.
Due to frequent cancellations I would be reluctant to buy a ticket purely to see fireworks. Also, lots of people sit down on the concourse near the turnstyles to watch the fireworks. Not sure if you have been before, but you do a bag security check before you get to the ticket gates for both parks. So, go through the security check (no ticket needed). The parks are immediately opposite each other & separated by a large pedestrian concourse - a perfect viewing point Edited at 07:33 AM. |

You can see the fireworks from several places outside the parks .
Both nights I was there we watched them from concourse as above . Last year I watched from a nearby Denny's car park . |

Is it World of Colour or Fireworks from the main park you are after? If so then yes there is a viewing area in the Paradise Pier for disney guests. We didn't actually need to use it though so can offer any feedback I'm afraid.

You get a good view of the fireworks right outside the park and all along the road that runs parallel to the parks! Obviously just not with the castle in front.
If you're going to do the CA park fireworks, which I'd thoroughly recommend, you can pick up a fast pass for preferred viewing and it doesn't affect your other fast passes |

Depending on when you go you might not need a fp for World of Color (or whatever its called now ).
We didn't get one in March and CM's had handfuls of FP they were giving out before the start of it. |
