GCSE parents?

My dd is feeling the nerves she kept a count down, she’s worked hard just hope she gets the grades for her school 6th form other wise it will be a talk with connections

Trying to keep busy and not think about it. I think my worst (and fairly likely) scenario is that one of our twins does fairly well and the other doesn't get what she needs. It's tough to then celebrate/commiserate at the same time.

I'm just really worried for her. She has tried so hard but suffers badly with anxiety and had a lot of bereavement in 18months prior to her exams. School was aware but couldn't do anything because she didn't qualify for concessions even though they tried for her. I'm just hoping she gets the minimum to get in on to her course then we can go from there. Of course I hope she's done what I know she is capable of and reflects the amount of work she has put in.

Oh my goodness, it’s nearly time. Exams and prom seem so long ago, and now the dreaded results day is nearly here. I’m so nervous for DD. No matter what happens I am so proud of her as I know she has tried her best, and above all else I just want her to be happy and content with her results.

Aargh the day is nearly here, my daughter has terrible anxiety and generally goes into meltdown during exams so we are just hoping that she gets some passes so she doesn’t have to resist, she put the work in and did the revision but put her in an exam

Thank goodness we are away in Turkey and it is my dh birthday today so we have a bit of a distraction here trying to ignore tomorrow 😂

I think I’m as nervous as DD I think we just want to get it over and deal with whatever comes. Although DD could have done more revision leading up to the exams, she worked solidly throughout school and the exam period but does get stressed which can impact her performance. Fingers crossed for everyone!

Exactly the same here for DS. Exams seemed like along time ago now, a distant memory. He was so nervous the night before the first one.

We have said, today he doesn't have any qualifications, tomorrow he will. The results matter for half a day and once he has chosen his 6th form (he has a place at 3 schools for different options) he moves on and becomes an A'level student. No worries about the grades, no what ifs etc he worked hard but wasn't in the top set for most subjects and has struggled.
