Disney Cruisers Where Do Have Lunch On Embarkation Day?

I've watching YouTube videos today of Embarkation Days on Disney Magic and one thing I have noticed in all the videos, everyone seems to have lunch in Cabanas when they get on the ship.

Do people not know that the MDR is open for lunch too? My plan for my cruise in September 2020 is to have lunch in Lumiere's on embarkation day. It just seems a much nicer way to start the cruise then the hustle and bustle of Cabanas buffet.

So what do you do and why?

We used the MDR this year and it was so much nicer than going to Cabanas. Not too busy and the service was great.

The only thing I wasn’t keen on was being stuck inside for so long, I love watching the sea so we normally try to get a table outside at cabanas.

Much prefer table service in a MDR but that’s because we aren’t fans of buffets
