Mobile Can I Dummy Book FP+?

Going October...staying offsite so I know I can't book until 30 days out. But I wondered if I could attempt to book a FP for say 29 days time to see what its like? I will need to book them for a party of 11! I'm a family of 5 (own MDE), and I have my dad and his wife coming, my in laws and my brother and his husband! So I think I've linked them to my MDE...but I can only see the name of person who set their MDE up...is that right?

I've looked on the app and can see that I can create a fp party...can I create more than one? As some days my bro wont be with us?

This is why I want to play and do some dummy bookings (I'd then cancel straight away) to make sure I know what I'm doing. As were gking October I think everywhere will be crazy busy as the disney parks are opening early every day to onsite guests so I really don't want to miss out!

Thanks so much if you've read this and understand! I would appreciate help!

Yes I’ve done that. I used it to make me confident with the system and got used to modifying bookings. I even snagged FOP a couple of times! Didn’t take them obviously 😃

I worry if I press the confirm booking it will activate my Disney ticket! Are you sure I can do this? I want to look at modifying fastpasses too...is this so you can bring timings forward? X

Your tickets don't activate until the first time you use them to enter a park. You're perfectly safe to have a play with the system, modify, cancel etc. Just make sure you do cancel them once you've finished playing so they go back in to the system for people who want to actually book them

as you seem to have a standalone ticket, it will work fine

for other DIBBers wondering about FP+ test run, just remember that it will not be possible with package tickets (when hotel and tickets are bought together, like for free dining and all)

such tickets will only be valid for fp+ 60 days before check in ( due to the sheer number of topics where DIBBers ask the question, let's just say it once again)

for people offsite, and/or with tickets that were purchased alone, tests runs are possible, and your tickets will not activated if you book FP+
tickets can only be activated at a park's tapstile.

As others have said it definitely won’t activate your ticket. Modifying helps you bring FPs forward to earlier in the day if you want to. It has also enabled me to grab a 12pm Snow White FP on the first day! You can play around with the FPs quite a lot on the system and it does check before it cancels anything.

You do need to have tickets linked to your account in order to practice. The system won't allow you to book fastpasses if you don't have linked tickets.

And, as chmurf mentions above, it won't allow those that have tickets as part of an onsite package to practice either.

Once you have your reference to link your tickets - and you haven't booked an onsite package - then it should open up the fastpass booking bit of MDE for you. You can then try booking fastpasses.
