I use president spreadable but its always fairly firm when straight out of the fridge, fridge is set at 3 degrees. I used to use lurpak or countrylife spreadable but then switched to president a few years ago as I preferred the flavour, plus it hasn't got oil in it.

We have lurpak spreadable and it’s as solid as anything. The fridge is set automatically at 3 degC.

I’ve found the lighter lurpak spreads better than the regular one - if only my husband listened to this and bought the right one whenever it’s on the shopping list!

We use anchor spreadable and we have to take it out of the fridge for about 30 minutes before it’s spreadable. Ours is set at 5, when we had it at 4 things were freezing.

Still solid in the door, I wonder if it depends on the type of fridge. We have an American style fridge/freezer.

We use either Aldi or Lidl equivalents (Norpak or Danpak - how original!). Both spread easily straight from fridge, set on 3.

I do find things are colder if they've been at the very back of the shelves so I keep spread at the front.
