Just seen a mouse in my garden

Unfortunately not of the Disney variety

It ran out from under the decking and was hiding under our Guinea pigs cage. I managed to scare it back under the decking as I didn’t want it to get into their cage.

Any advice on how best to deal with it? I’m guessing I can’t use those plug in devices around the pigs.

We’ve had decking in the garden for over ten years and this is the first time I’ve seen or seen evidence of a mouse. I know it’s common with decking.

Don’t worry about it , 99.9 % of all gardens will have mice in them.

We have them from time to as we are surrounded by fields. I just try to move them on their way as can't stand the thought of the cat killing them. We had a lot in the garage when we had guinea pigs they were after the food. Caught them running along the rafters to get at the food bucket. Some where tiny and pretty cute.

We have field mice in our garden. When my daughter got the keys to a new house we went to have a look, I had my terrier mutt with me.

He disappeared under the decking and came out with a rat in his mouth, the pest controller told us rodents love to live under decking and most decking will have some resident rodent.

Keep Guinea pig food in containers that can’t be accessed. I think you probably have had mice for a while but just didn’t know!

I am surrounded by old mills so see mice often, cats like to bring me the odd one as a present. Last week I found a dead rat in my back garden 🤮 prefer the smaller species.

Seen a rat sniffing around my decking then disappearing. Hoping it's a random one. 😫😫

My cat will have a field day in your garden. Lost count how many presents she’s brought home this year.
