How early can we bag drop at MCO?

Hi we have to be out our villa at 10am later this week and flight isn’t until 5.30pm. We don’t have a car so will Uber to airport. There isn’t anywhere to leave luggage at villa resort so thinking about booking lounge st MCO or day room at Hyatt. We will check in online but does anyone know if we can check our luggage in at say 11am for a 5.30pm flight with British Airways? We would probably just book the lounge if this was okay (as cheaper than day room) Thanks

I'd probably say no - BA / their agents most likely won't have any staff on duty that early at MCO.

We flew with BA in September. I’m pretty sure the desk opened 3 hours 15 minutes before the flight.

I think that it's 3 hours before the flight if they are on time and the systems are working.

Staff won’t be there until they open the desk roughly 3 hours before departure.

No you can only check in 3 hours before your flight we had this last time we flew with ba to Orlando we got to the airport only to find we could not do bag drop 3 hours beforehand

The lounge will only be available for a limited period too, usually around 3 hours.

You can drop the cases for free as early as 9 am with Orlando Baggage Storage located near Disney. They also offer airport delivery for a fee and will deliver the bags curbside across from the airline you are traveling with, you just have to tell them what time you want the bags delivered. We have used twice and were very pleased with the service.

With only 1-2 BA flights leaving MCO each day, BA are unlikely to see sense in having staff on duty throughout the day to deal with a handful of passengers, if any, before the majority turn up 3 hours before.
