We are going to do the free one. it's on for an hour and a half and child friendly. I've never done one before so looking forward to it.

Try Novotel at Hermiston gait retail park, it's right next to the train station and literally 2stops to the city centre of Edinburgh, 5 mins away by train.
It's an ideal location.

Motel One definitely. Have stayed many times when visiting our son, who works in Edinburgh. There are two - one in Princes Street above the Apple Store and the other just over Waverley Bridge - so both ideally situated for walking the city.

The rooms are beautiful and the price very reasonable.
