New Year's break - any ideas?

I'm wanting to book a New Year's break for DH and I, probably 29th-2nd. We've never been away at New Year before. Any recommendations for hotels, lodges, cottages etc. Yorkshire/Cheshire/Cumbria/North Wales?

Thanks

Hi. I’m going to Shrigley Hall in Cheshire from 29th Dec to 31st Dec. I have never stayed there before so can it recommend but they have a gym spa etc and it was a good price. I did look at some hotels in the Lake District but they were quite expensive.

We've been looking to do the same but on a caravan site with the dog. The problem we're finding is that most the sites facilities are closed or only open for the one night. Was hoping for a Haven site but no such luck. Parkdean need you to book for 4 nights and are qute expensive especially as we really only want 2 nights
