I have a commercial laundry and I am going to start doing domestic ironing. I am thinking £15 per hour for this service.
Doesn't sound enough to me £8.21 minimum wage, all premises costs, insurance. Then the time taking it in and out.
Could you have a charge per item?

To be honest we don't have much, I am very careful at getting washing off line or out of dryer. There was a time I had to iron 4 shirts a day though! I got very good at it.

Thanks Feebee2

I did research the price per item and thought that would lead to more faff. Like I would have to state min items and put everything into sections as it came in them take a note of everything ironed to tally it up for the invoice. I found it all sounded a bit time consuming and I would have to think of every item I could and price it up. Our clients would bring it into us and pick it up.

Yes I am sure it's per item. I have just seen a local shop (there's an amazing amount of people offering this round here) charging 1.79 per shirt.

My moms best mates daughter has an ironing business and has done for about 10yrs. She used to rent a shop but had a huge garage built at the bottom of her garden.

She is so busy but she does live on the outskirts of a posh area with lots of big expensive houses and a lot of them are regulars.
