EE Max plan
Hello
I have the Max Plan with EE, and just wanted to check if I need to do anything to my phone other than turn off and on when I arrive? Just checking as last time I went I didn't have the max plan and my phone didn't work until I called EE from the hotel (which I didn't know I had to do), which caused a lot of stress as I needed my data for my sat nav. Obviously dont want unwanted stress this time, so just double checking 😁😁 |

Make sure you text ROAMING to 150 to make sure roaming is enabled and then turn on data roaming in your settings. I don’t think you will necessarily need to turn your phone on and off upon arrival I usually pick up the local network a few seconds after I have turned aeroplane mode off after landing.

My Wife has had the Max plan for about 18 months or so. We don't do anything at all.
Just put it on flight mode for the flight. As soon as we land we take that function off and it hunts for a network. Normally it picks T Mobile or AT&T. Thats it ready to go. We hammer the data in the Parks and my Wife rings her Mum maybe twice a week. So nice to not have any charges for these functions.

Thanks. Have already text 150 and roaming, and I got the good news text, so all good there. And I always turn my phone off on the plane anyway.
Glad to know nothing else is needed, so will have a hassle free journey to hotel (though I've just jinxed it now lol) |
