Of note to this they seem to have removed all their out sat home Friday flights for May next year?
Hoping they come back or will they have a much reduced window of direct flights next year to only the summer? They are in the 330, they will struggle if there is no way to book flight hence they will have no income or bookings for those flights. |

I hope you don't mind me asking but where did you see they had cancelled their out Sat back Fri flights did next May? We are going out on a Sat next May and our flights are still showing in VA my booking. I can also still do a dummy booking on the VA website for the same dates.

Hi, maybe not cancelled the flights but they are no longer available to book on the Virgin app. Will check virgin website tho.
They still show on skyscanner. I’m looking at 1st May to 21st but checking most of May. Edited at 09:00 AM. |

Update to my story. After 71 emails they finally said at this point they can’t give me 14 days even if I went indirect in the uk in the way back because no domestic partner is offering flights Heathrow to glasgow for next June. After discussing the options, now going via Newark both ways (they say they can’t book direct one way and indirect the other)
I’ve made a significant saving by doing this |

Hi , We fly this route every year and it’s so much better as you clear immigration at Newark which makes landing in MCO so much quicker. I know many people prefer direct flights but the savings going indirect can be huge especially if you have a big family plus you get to spend a couple of hours in Newark to grab a bite to eat

I’ve done various versions of indirect and my preference would always be to pay a little more for direct. I’ll be really disappointed if Covid means the end of direct flights for a 14 night holiday from Scotland.

I have flown United a lot and no problems with them but the food is not great unfortunately so yes stock up! They dont feed you on any internal flights either even New York to LA!
I did find once that I felt a little travel sick arriving in Washington even with usual meds taken. I find the smaller planes slightly bumpier I think but I am a poor traveller anyway and so many airlines are dropping from the larger planes now |
