DD and I ventured a couple of times pre mask and it wasn’t great
On Thursday we tried just Primark , we arrived for opening with a plan , stuck to it but by the time we left 45 minutes later I was near ready to pass out from the heat of wearing a mask and the stress of people getting too close for my comfort : it’ll be a while before I try again

Just an update
Once we were in, we were behind perspex so could take our masks off

Also strolled past goldsmith's found my wedding band half price 🥰 it's actually an eternity ring but I love diamonds so why not

Can't stand it.

Hate the masks. Hate the rules and regulations. Hate being told off constantly because I went the wrong way, or stepped over a line, or failed to sanitise my hands for the 200th time that morning despite only having done it 30 seconds ago upon leaving the previous shop. Hate the closed changing rooms. Hate the queueing outside. Hate being treated like a biohazard rather than a human being.

Not at all an enjoyable experience and I will not go.

I went to our local Tesco which is on the English/Welsh border on Saturday, and was surprised to see just a handful of people wearing masks (it’s not mandatory in wales yet) social distancing gone out the window, just grabbed the few things I needed and left. Thinking about it there were a lot more people about, and the car park busier, just wondered whether people are coming over the border to shop so they don’t have to wear a mask.

New experience today!
I popped to a local charity shop before taking bags in thank goodness. Have to now prebook a slot and how many bags of stuff I'll be bringing down. Earliest slot was Tues week at 9.30 am 😮 May have time to squeeze some more items in 🤣
