Decisions

Hi,i have booked for santa fe hotel next xmas 18-23dec for me the wife and 2 boys age 5 and 7 but now i'm trying to decide if i should scrap having a planned bus trip to paris and one character meal at inventions so i can upgrade to the sequoia lodge golden forest room and the perks that come with that and the use of a swimming pool.
Would it be worth it or is inventions too good to miss?

ooh thats a tough one!

you could do cafe mickey for a character meal instead of inventions - but if you all want to do the trip to Paris, and you've got so long at DLP, you might want to keep that?

You could also upgrade to a standard room at the Sequoia Lodge, then pay on the day to have breakfast in the GF breakfast room one or twice (I believe its around 10 euros per adult to do this).

That's a hard one I'm planning Christmas 2015 and want a day in Paris I found when I was looking at this Christmas coming it was less than £10 for an extra night so would opt for that in order to get trip to paris in other than that I would not go out if I was there for 4 nights (I note you have 5)
As for food I found cafe Mickey much nicer than inventions dinner especially with the character interaction but invention has more floor space for characters ... Honest personal opinion cafe Mickey over inventions with upgrade
The perks of the pool will make a difference with the cold and early closures of the park mid week
Just make the right decision for your family do a list of pros and cons?

There would be no decision for me...IMO the only good thing about Paris is disney...I'm not a fan of the city, but had one or 2 bad experiences as a child that may have clouded my judgement!

We thought that the character meal at inventions was really lovely, there was a great choice of food, being a buffet, we booked for the first sitting at 6pm I think as soon as it opened. as the park was still open it was really quiet, only about 2 other families in there for about an hour, so we had a lot of character intervention, and also you see all the main characters, mickey Minnie, Donald goofy etc, rather than café mickey, it can be a bit hit and miss who you see there. it didn't get busy till about 7pm

if I had to choose again then it would definitely be inventions, and you are so much nearer to the park so you don't waste any time going to and fro!

they had water melons with character faces carved onto them too! lots of attention to detail!
