Disney Annual passholder benefits?
Hi all
I've never held an annual pass (and I know they still not yet on sale) BUT... when they are, can you use them for hotel discounts? Are they activated on first day of entering park? (or if allowed to book hotel are they activated date of booking)? I now know lots about universal annual pass (brought mine this week as 15 for 12 months no activation date) and I know what discounts I get and how to get them, but I keep googling Disney annual and don't seem to get the info I need, esp from the Disney site, but that mayb due to not on sale yet? Thank you |

We have annual passes. Sorry, can’t help with hotels, but we get free parking, 10% off selected restaurants, 20% in some shops, 10% in others. Also, things such as fireworks cruises, party tickets etc. have a discount ( not at the moment obviously!). Hope this helps.

It's always been a bit hard to find information on using AP discounts on WDW rooms! So this is what I know from my experience...
You can only see AP hotel rates on the WDW USA website if you have a current AP AND are logged on to MDE. Otherwise the website will not show you AP rates. You can apparently book AP hotel rates without a current valid AP, but to do so you have to call WDW directly and book through the phone. I've not tried this personally so not sure how much hassle this might be (could be difficult as different hotels may have different availability for different discounts). If you book a WDW hotel with an AP rate you need to have a valid AP when checking in. I'm not sure how this works in practice if you don't yet have one though, I suppose you could get an AP on your first day at WDW? I hope this is correct, this is what I've encountered in my experience so far!

You can view and book AP room rates with an unactivated AP voucher on your MDE account. I have one at the moment and can see the new Xmas offer -
As you can see, discounts can be good - the CR room above reduces from $840 night to $504. My other main benefit from my AP is buying a Tables In Wonderland card.

Also how much is it ? Would it be worth one of us getting AP and the rest of us staying with 21 day passes? Thanks

No, parking is charged unless you are a DVC member or guest staying on points.
A Platinum Plus ( all parks and water parks) is $1300. If you can get 2 trips in the year it's well worth it or you have do the maths with the room rates. |

Can I ask how you managed to do this? I'm trying to buy an annual pass for Universal and I'm struggling to be able to do it. Seems you can buy the two park one, but not the three park. Did you have this issue? Thank you. Edited at 02:15 PM. |

They have suspended the 3 park pass whilst Volcano Bay is closed for the extended winter season break.
It will probably return early 2021 when they confirm VB's reopening date. |
