So hang on, you need to visit the airport for a test the day before you fly?

My mum sent me this last night when I sent her the info on the Dibb regarding vaccines.

Hopefully Heathrow will have airport testing ASAP as lots of business flights, plus holidays.

It’s the same as now, from what I read. It’s just that private clinics are charging £175-200 for the test and £225 if you want the result in 24hrs. This way, you can go to the airport the day before, pay £99 and have the results back before you fly. Not ideal if you aren’t local or book an overnight stay, but it’s better than the current option/price for some people.

What happens though if you test positive? Does travel insurance cover this? Plus it’s expensive (there are 5 in my group), however whilst looking at some destinations last night a lot of countries now require this test!
I know this is great news and will help the industry but going on holiday is supposed to be pleasurable this is starting to sound stressful

I get a weekly covid test at work. The results get sent via a text from the NHS. Wonder if that were sufficient enough to show if that was sent to my phone day before travel?
