Mobile Upgrading car

I have an Alamo car booked through a 3rd party. Going in a couple of weeks.

It's a compact car included but want to know if better to upgrade I Orlando or before I go?

Can we negotiate there?

Thanks

We booked two cars. Only wanted the 2nd car to be cheap as it was mainly for the airport run and a small runaround if my parents wanted a day out alone. We did skip the queue so went to the Alamo garage and focused on the main car first. When we had picked that we loaded it and locked and went to find a compact. No compacts in so the guy told us to we could have a free upgrade and pick a mid size one and let them know at the exit we had an upgrade. When I went to the exit the guy said it happens all the time!

I would hang back and see what is in as you might end up with a bigger car anyway. We ended up with a ford focus.

OP. For a guaranteed upgrade its better to do it in the UK as you are otherwise hostage at the desk.
You mention a car from a 3rd party supplier. I assume it's not a free car that's uninsured?
