We are landing a bit later, but nevertheless we are just seeing the first day of dining credits (on DDP) as a bonus. No way would we book something for the first night. I think we will just arrive and wander around the hotel and get bearings and maybe a snack if we really need it.

Thanks for all the advice, so it would be a resounding 'no' then! Will grab a QS and leave for another day

We had the same dilemma but decided to either eat at the food court or get the boat to DS and eat there. Will depend how we feel. Last time we went we didn't even have the energy for the food court. We went to the room and ordered pizza!

If you're hungry a little walk round the lake will be a nice stretch of the legs after the flight and you can get pizza on the Boardwalk.

If you have children, no would be my opinion. The early flights are usually 11 am ish leaving the UK. So by the time you are at your resort its around 10 pm UK time and for us its too late to eat and for the children then would want to be asleep before get to the resort. Have a snack and get to bed is my advice!

This was DS in 2012 when we went for a QSDP when we had checked in.

It's all we can do to force half a CS meal down as we're so tired by the time we're checked in etc. Last year it was BLT and we popped over to Contempo where I got the tuna pitta. Even though the portion was large, the freshness of the cool tuna with lettuce and tomato was enough to cleanse my palatte and give me enough food so that I wouldn't be kept awake with a rumbling tum!

Despite our best endeavours we never seem to get sorted and to our resort for check-in before 8pm. Its very frustrating. We were on the early flight this year but Virgin cancelled it and bumped us onto the 1pm. So, once again there'll be no chance of getting there early enough to even have my scooter delivered same day.
