Convertible Prices - June 2018

Looking to book last minute convertible car hire for later this month, and prices are hovering around the £400 mark for a week! I paid less than that for 2 weeks in November last year. I know this is considered more peak time, but am I being unrealistic to expect prices to drop nearer the £200 mark for a week? Never been in June before, so apologies.

I'm showing a convertible with Alamo through my offline system for £335. (based on 14th to 21st)... £290 with Dollar, but only if you know how to handle their sales staff at the desk and don't sign up to any extras. Really don't think you'll get it for £200 at this late stage unfortunately.

I just paid £318.00 for 11 days from Avis - 29th may to 8th June for a Mustang.
Booked via virgin atlantic web site and also earned 6000 air miles.
Picked car up from HRH as we were already staying there - all very easy

Managed to get a week for just under £248.70, with the rental company being Alamo. Can't really grumble at that price for a late booking
