Mobile Swapping drink for SC item at resorts?

Hello,

Is swapping out your drink for a SC item still ok at your resort?

We did this last year but the last two days of our trip we had issues at POR and POFQ. They said things had changed and it was been phased out (POR) and the next day at POFQ we were told we could only swap for ice-cream.

I’m sure you can and I’m sure I’ve read since then that people have had no issues but wanted to double check.

Thank you.

We couldn’t do it in the parks but at our resort we had absolutely no problems! We swapped it for a whole range of different things and were never told there were any restrictions!

How recently was this? We were fine for ages last Aug until our last couple of days. We don’t bother in the parks as we want the drinks anyway.

We has absolutely no problems doing this at POR this February... and I believe it is still possible, reading the current dining reports

Thanks. It was incredibly odd the very swift change we had it staffs responses at POFQ and POR last year. It was like a memo had been handed out.

I do wish Disney would be more consistent with this. It’s not difficult to ensure staff in food and beverage all sing from the same sheet!

This has happened the past 3 years for us. We go in May every year. At the beginning of the holiday everything is fine but the nearer we get to Memorial Day weekend the craziness begins. For example this year I had been having cereal for breakfast using 1 snack credit (cereal and milk combined), then at the end of the holiday they said I had to use 2 credits, one for the cereal and one for the milk. When I queried this they tried to say I was confused and must of made a mistake until I showed them a receipt from the beginning of the holiday that uses 1 snack credit.

It was cynical of me but I keep my food receipts now on purpose for when they start changing the rules so that I have proof from previous days.

Sometimes it's because they have new staff for the holidays but often I think they try to see if they can get away with it and save the company money.
