Booking CRT & Fantasmic package

Hi. I know you have to pre-pay the full amount for CRT and dinner packages, but when do they actually take the money? Would I be able to guarantee with a credit card, but pay after check in with my CBR gift cards?
Alternatively, Virgin Holidays have said I can upgrade to DDP but they have temporarily suspended the contract until the CBR problems are sorted. So I can't rely on that being sorted by the time it's my ADR day.

I would phone Disney, but don't want to add to the call wait times.

CRT was taken off my credit card when I booked it, the fantasmic dining package I paid for after the meal, you do use your credit card to make the reservation but they didn't take any money off at the time of booking, we went to Hollywood and Vine.

You have to prepay CRT so they'll take payment straight away. If you later upgrade to DDP you can call Disney and they'll refund it.
