Yacht Club has new refillable drinks station and QS at last.

The relocated Ale and Compass has two of the new style refillable mugs dispensers as well as a decent selection of QS hot and cold snacks.
We only realised it was there cos I was asking reception where the old Ale and Compass had gone.
Saves the trek to Marketplace.
In the refurbed rooms the safes are now big enough to hold laptops and there is plenty of storage.
I really like the new rooms but they have got rid of the carpeted floor so I have been glad of my slippers.

They were there when I was there in July. Loved the freestyle machines as there were so many choices.

Some very different snack credit options which I enjoyed trying out.

The safes are great now - you can actually fit a decent amount in them.

Although I loved the laminate floors I did find they weren't swept but housekeeping and with an ECV scooter in the room the floor got very dirty!

The Ale and Compass is now part of the YC shop that is just past the main lifts. Been really busy at breakfast time.
There are Laundry rooms on the ground floor as well as by the quiet pool.
The in room fridges hold plenty as well.
Really enjoying our stay.

Hi, I'm going to be staying at the YC in October and was wondering if during the refurb they have added any USB power points to charge the numerous phones, tablets and cameras. Travelling from the UK so may need a multitude of adapters. Any help? Thanks

Just got back from the yacht club-AMAZING! there were 2 USB charge points on the night stand and at least 2 on the dresser (it could have been 4, I can't remember), there were also US plug sockets on both and on the bathroom. We only used a US adaptor for straightners, phones etc charged via USB. Don't bother taking a hair dryer, the one in the bathroom is great. Hope this helps! Have a great stay.
