Mobile After Fireworks Dessert Party

I’m feeling decidedly aggrieved. I booked the dessert party with plaza gardens viewing specifically because we wanted to be able to see the fireworks as my DS is in a wheelchair and it’s impossible in the general crowd. Now they're doing a After Fireworks Dessert party with Plaza gardens viewing. So in effect there doubling the crowd in the Plaza Gardens.😡

We just phoned Disney and changed our booking to the after Desert Party. Cost us an extra $32 but it makes more sense.

She said we check in an hour before - then we can either go to viewing area or do our own thing - Watch fireworks - then go enjoy deserts. There will be buses available after the party.

I asked her if the area will be extended and she said she understands it will be to accommodate extra people.

I think the after party makes more sense. First choice on position and when everyone else is fighting to leave / for buses we can go enjoy the deserts and then get on empty buses later on.

So thanks for the heads up on this.

We booked this at Easter and a couple of people in wheelchairs were directed to the front of the garden. Right in ftont of the plaza viewing area was the area roped off for wheelchair/ scooter users. I would give Disney a ring and voice your concerns, they are normally pretty good or mention it to the CMs when you book in to the dessert party.

Yes I think I might do that. I only booked it for the extra space, not too bothered about the desserts.

I saw this today. We're already booked for the dessert party but glad to hear you've been able to change dx4100. I have a medical condition that causes nausea and so I never really manage to eat any desserts for worry of missing the fireworks so this would make much more sense for us. I'm not too worried about more people in plaza gardens, last year there was lots and lots of space and we were the last group to arrive.

I really hope they don't try and pack double the people into the same space.

I've booked the before party for June 2nd on the basis of a nice relaxed time eating desserts and ease of finding a good spot in the garden.

If it turns out the garden is already full of people going to the after party then I definitely won't be happy.
