We did the dessert party with garden viewing last year as I have claustrophobia and the tight endless crowds give me the heebie jeebies and was thoroughly unimpressed, there was a big old tree in the way of the view and the area itself was pretty packed, there was a “vip” viewing area placed right in front of the gardens too.
The desserts were very very sweet and the drinks were like pure cordial. I see lots of people on here recommend it though so perhaps I’m just a grump lol.

I did the after desert party and would highly recommend it.

We arrived to find a huge of people waiting to check in for the pre-desert party. We walked right past them all to the check in desk. Told them we was doing the after party and they said great, give us our wristbands to get in the VIP area and told us to come back to vip area around 8:45pm and then after the party come back here for the deserts.

The VIP area never got cramped. We had a great view and there was only a handful of people doing the after desert party so we had the run of the place afterwards. Deserts where nice but sweet. Al drinks tasted nice.

Would highly recommend. After part is better than pre party I would say.

Thanks for the reassuring review. We're doing the after party next month

This sounds great. Think we going to book up.
Were the views worth it? Was it not to busy while you were viewing the fireworks?

When the fireworks started everyone stood up which created tons of space and then for some reason the front moved forward towards the fence and the rest stayed where they was. This created a huge gap which me and my daughter happily stood in. I held here up in my arms and she had a unrestricted view.

No where was cramped. And it was easy to slightly reposition yourself no matter where you was to get a good view.

100% worth the menu and I would do it again in a heart beat.

We did the pre-fireworks party last year and thought it was worth the money for the viewing area alone! Have changed this year's booking to the after party so that the dessert party is a bit more relaxed and the queues for buses have subsided a bit when we leave!

I am interested in booking but also interested in the current issues but I was wondering if you can take some cakes away with you ?
I am just concerned that we will not want to eat a lot but may like it later back at the hotel or is this not possible.

Hmmm, we did dessert party a few years ago as brother in law doesn't like crowds. Was prepared to pay again but doesn't sound quite as chilled as it was watching from the Terrace. Thanks guys, definitely food for thought.
