Airtanker to Miami
Any pearls of wisdom for DS when he sets out on his journey to Grand Cayman for Christmas on the Thomas Cook flight from Manchester to Miami?
He is concerned about seating as he is 6'6" - no availability in premium (does this aircraft even have premium?). At present he is in an extra legroom aisle seat both ways. Row 29 I think. I didn't put him at a window in case there is an escape slide taking up half his extra leg room. Anyone know? What about food? Is there a second meal or snack? Is the IFE on drop down screens? I guess he can load his Ipad with stuff. Last year be went via Dublin and Toronto with Air Canada and got a free upgrade on way out. He has a very endearing smile (for a big lad ). This year's journey will be very different but beggars can't be choosers and BA wanted over £1400 so he has become creative with his routing.

Not to Miami but we flew on airtanker to Orlando from Manchester in April... no complaints from us and would definately fly again. I've put a link to a review I did and there's a lot of comments on there might be useful... don't know about the seat you have requested sorry. The meal out was a James Martin meal and very good , you then hit an ice cream later on and about 90 minutes or do before landing we got an afternoon tea of sandwiches and cream tea. |
