How to get to Avis from MCO arrivals
Could anyone talk me through this please.? I have not been to MCO for at least 10 years and am at a loss as to where to go once we have got our luggage and been on the monorail. Presumable that is when we get to immigration but then what? We are flying with BA if that makes any difference and have signed up to Avis preferred.

This is my first year of flying with ba and using Avis for car hire. We normally use virgin and Alamo. I think the car rental places are all together which if memory serves is after the second bag pick up. I tend to not pay too much attention in the airport as I'm tired and want to get to the villa. I'm sure there will be some much more knowledgable dibbers to come along and help soon.

After you have your luggage and have cleared immigration and customs, you can either put your luggage back on the conyeor belt or take it up the escalator to the monorail, when you leave the monorail you follow exit Signs, go down to ground level where you pick up your luggage if you chose not to carry it on the monorail with you, If you have joined preferred then walk past the car hire desks in the terminal, leave the terminal and cross the slip road to the multi storey car park opposite, go up one floor and Avis is clearly sign posted on the left if you used the exculator or right if you used the lift. Your name should be on the board with parking bay number of your car, if you name isn't on there just turn around and there is a small kiosk behind you, they will sort you out very quickly, it really is very easy.

If you are not sure of the arrival procedure, or terminal layout, you will find a simple step-by-step guide (with photos) to International Arrivals on the airport website (orlandoairports.net). You will arrive at gates 70-99, so when you get off the transit you head off over towards the left. When I arrived last Monday, I just followed the 'Rental car' signs. The counters of all the companies are all together on the ground floor - the cars just across the road in the multi-storey car park.
