Perfectly possible you just have to allow for waits for the iride, dependant on time of day can get pretty warm at some of the stops. Uber is definitely an app worth adding used it a few times to go to basketball downtown

We stayed in Homework Suites twice and used their free shuttles. Universal and SeaWorld parks were easy to get to with a variety of pick up times there and back. Disney was about more of a hassle but as it could be a long day and times of shuttle meant you struggled to see fireworks. However now uber are so cheap and easy to use I would use them alongside hotel shuttles for more flexibility. Last time we went we stayed on site 5 days and had 12 nights international drive and found this much more convenient for us. We also always hired a car for two days for shopping or further afield activities.

I don't want to sound churlish, but without a car you can see Idrive and the major attractions, but there so much more to do than those things. Just simple things like shopping in Wholefoods or driving up to Winter Gardens for dinner, you'll miss out.

You're right that having a car makes getting around a bit easier. It is more convenient, just like here in the UK.

However, most folk visiting Orlando do so to visit the theme parks and the major attractions. And there are plenty of places to eat and see on Intl Drive. Plus if anyone wants to visit some different places out of the way there are always taxis or Uber cars. As I mentioned above, using Ubers a dozen times is probably cheaper than hiring a car.

Have to agree with nimbus here. Also as the only driver in my family I love having a fortnight off driving. Bliss.
