Great for the children We have been going for years and it is still one of my children's must do's though the youngest is 23 now! Years ago it used to have Minnie there but alas no more!
We are there for Christmas Day lunch this year

Oh you lucky things Christmas Day Lunch will be fantastic there, DH & I were only saying how good that would be when we were there a few weeks ago.

There are some good ones in MK. We've done lunch and dinner at Crystal Palace multiple times as DD is a fan of the characters and we all like their buffet. We had a brilliant steak at Skippers Canteen a couple of years ago, plus the server was fun and the atmosphere in there is great. We've done Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner and while it's fun to eat in the castle and meet the princesses it's a lot of money or 2 credits if you're on the dining plan. Same for Be Our Guest for dinner, we did enjoy the 3 course meal here though and meeting the beast was fun.

But you asked for our favourite MK and at the moment it has to be Tony's Town Square. We had the parade viewing package at lunch this summer and it was fantastic. We had 3 courses, and it was all really good. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed our choices and had a fab time. The viewing area for the parade is perfect too, so no camping out on pavements.

Interested in the parade package, we go in August, does the viewing area have any shade or can you loiter in the restaurant until last minute?

Hi Clarkd3

There isn't any shade, its boiling hot at 3pm so we wouldn't want to stand out in the sun.

We dashed over from the restaurant as we could hear the parade coming down main Street. There was no problem with us crossing the road. The viewing area is in the centre in front of the castle. There was enough pavement space for all 6 of us to have a front row view. Like I said we maybe had 2 minutes to spare so we did cut it fine. Once the parade has started going past you wouldn't be able to cross the road as it would be dangerous for the performers as well as you, so cast members would stop you crossing.

I thought the meal itself was well worth the credit on the dining plan and the parade view was excellent. I'm going to book it up again for next year.
