We flew Saturday waited about 30 mins from checking in to getting to duty free so not too bad...

We flew back in February half term and they seem to have opened an 'extra' security check area downstairs in T1 ... you entered from stairs from the far left of the terminal ... much less busy than upstairs.

Might be worth keeping an eye open if travelling at peak times.

good call

I bought the security passes and it says you can only use them up stairs - but it did mention this extra place.

I think a lot depends on the time of day. We flew to Stockholm from T1 in February and it took 1hr 20mins to get through security at 6.30am. It was awful and lots were being pulled from the queue to run to the gate.

Flew on the 4th of June & it was busier than usual but we were through in about 20/25 minutes so not too bad, the queue looked a lot worse than it actually was, it went down pretty quickly, this was terminal 1

Thanks, seems like t1 is where most of the delays tend to be and we are on an early flight,so I'm even more pleased I've bought the security fastrack now

Just FYI, security queues not too bad this morning but still pleased we had the fastrack as we only waited for 5 mins, compared to what looked like maybe a 30-45min wait.
👍
