Winter cruise itinerary inspiration
Hello,
I have best part of 2 weeks holiday left to use between new year and the end of March. I’m thinking about a winter cruise, but I definitely don’t fancy the canaries, Malta, Madeira type thing, I have done the canaries to death when I was younger. I’m toying with the Caribbean; but I’m not into beaches and sunbathing, more sightseeing type places. I do like a nice swim/snorkel but would only manage say 15 mins sat on a beach. I’d quite like AI, or an option to buy a drinks package. Any cruise lines or itineraries or even just ports people can recommend? Thanks

We have been on several Caribbean cruises, great value, different island most days, so different things to see and do. Been on P & O, Celebrity, Princess, Cunard, and NCL. All good with Cunard being the most upmarket, NCL being the most downmarket.
We have also taken a cruise around Hawaii, ( on NCL, flying in from Las Vegas. It was great, exceptional excursions on the cruise and a fab time. But it’s a long way for two weeks ( 17 hours flying out via Vegas) . The other way is to go East around India, Thailand etc? |

Sorry I should have said, I’ll only be cruising for a week. So just a 7 day cruise I’m looking for.
I don’t mind the flight, but probably would give Las Vegas a miss as it’s a long way. I have only cruised NCL, P&O and Thomson/Marella and NCL was definitely my favourite, but it’s hard trying to line up cruises with flights Edited at 08:09 PM. |

We are off on one in December bit as you only want a week it won't suit you. 12 days in NZ but with extra days either side we are gone 3 weeks. Not that expensive though

We liked St Lucia and Grenada. But all the islands have something to offer. I’m not sure a week is long enough but I know the American cruise lines offer one week cruises from Miami/ Fort Lauderdale. royal Caribbean are supposed to be pretty good but we haven’t been on one.
Key West is also worth a visit. |

Sounds amazing but I can only afford a week. I have been round NZ a fair bit though as I lived in Australia for 7 years, my fave country in the world

I would love that, and I also would love Alaska but I just can’t find anything.
Has to be Jan, Feb or March, 6-9 days (but prefer 7) and in the middle of each month as I’m an accountant. It’s proving so tricky! Pulling my hair out There was one I really fancied, Marella into Montego Bay, 2 days Havana, Cozumel and the Cayman Islands. Mostly because I have always fancied Havana and it has an overnight, and then option to see some Mexican ruins. There are no inside cabins left though so it’s near £2k for the week including flights. Which is a bit ouchy for myself

A 7 night Central America cruise eg. Belize, Mexico, Honduras offers some varied activities such as cave tubing, city tours, zip-lining, Mayan ruin tours etc.
