Mobile Christmas hints

I am sure everyone has their own Christmas tips, craft, food, decorations, gift wrapping... anything Christmas related 🎄🎄🎄

Please post your hints and tips to get us all in the Christmas mood after the trying year we have all had 💗

I will start, not my tip actually but it was on a Christmas programme yesterday 👍🏻
To create your very own favourite Christmas scent throughout your home:
Get a pan with water in it. Put on the stove, once hot turn the heat down. Then you can go to town on your favourite scents by adding a variety of items to the hot water;
Cinnamon sticks
Cloves
Orange peel
Cheap mulled wine
Spices
Basically anything that reminds you of Christmas. Let that simmer and the smell will fill your home.

Warning.. don’t let the water boil dry, don’t leave any boiling water near children or cats (disclaimer was on tv 👍🏻👍&#127995

Foil trays for the turkey or joint the roast veg basically what ever goes in the oven
Cold easy make ahead or bung it on a plate starter if you are having one
Have a couple of practice runs at setting the table and do it last thing Christmas Eve or first thing after breakfast
But just enjoy especially this year

I do my prep through the day on Xmas Eve - table set, veg done, stuffing made etc, turkey in its disposable roasting dish ready to go in ... then Xmas eve night and day is easy and far more relaxing.

Since the kids were little I have wrapped their presents in different wrapping paper suited to their likes eg superhero for DS, princesses for DD. Don’t have to bother with tags on the presents as I know who’s is who’s by the wrapping paper. DS is now 22 and DD17 and I still do this.

Get 2 stockings the same...let them put one out, and fill the other with presents...it’s easier to switch them once the little ones are asleep...😋

Foil trays for absolutely everything relevant that I cook, Turkey, Roast Pots, Parsnips and Carrots. (Beef will be slow cookered and the Orange glazed Ham come in its own tray).

All meat cooked the day before and carved.

Gravy made first thing and to simmer through the day (I take pride in my gravy).

All plates dishwashed to finish the cycle 10 minutes before I serve up the food.

Hopefully all of the above will mean minimal clearing up after the meal.

I do this, all three have different themed wrapping paper. Makes it so much easier on Christmas eve 👍🏻👍🏻
